Lobos return to action at San Diego State on Saturday

UNM Top Times for 2016-17

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After a lengthy break from competition, the University of New Mexico women’s swimming and diving team returns to action as the Lobos travel to San Diego to take on San Diego State and Fresno State 10 a.m. Saturday at the Aztec Aquaplex.
 
New Mexico last competed Dec. 3 when it hosted Colorado State and Air Force with the Lobos defeating the Rams, 160-121, and falling just short to the Falcons, 147-134. It moved the Lobos’ record to 2-2 in duals to go along with a fifth-place finish at the Phill Hansel Invitational thus far during the 2016-17 campaign.

During the break, the Lobos were recognized by CollegeSwimming.com as one of the top 10 most improved women’s Division I programs this season, coming in at ninth. According to the website, the Lobos have jumped 77 spots from 149th to 72nd this season.

New Mexico enters Saturday’s event with 13 individual times/scores in the top 10 in the Mountain West.
