ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Amy Sargeant, women’s assistant tennis coach, was recognized but the USTA Southwest yesterday in their Got A Minute column.
Sargeant is in her first year as the assistant coach for UNM under head coach Kelcy McKenna. Prior to UNM, she was a well-decorated tennis player at FSU where she was a four-year letter winner and won MVP honors in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The article highlights Sargeant’s accomplishments as well as how she ended up in New Mexico being a Birmingham, England, native. She even talks about her love for soccer, but how she ended up with tennis.
