DALLAS, TX— Due to heavy rain in the Dallas area the 2015 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate has been cancelled. The event will not be rescheduled this season.
With the cancellation New Mexico’s fall golfing season is complete with four tournaments in the books. The Lobos claimed the title at their home tournament – the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate – after posting a two-day total of 24-under 840 (279-276-285).
Andrej Bevins a junior, claimed the title at this year’s Tucker after posting a three day total of 10-under 206 (68-68-70).
The team also competed at the Gopher Invitational (T-11th), the Erin Hills Invitational (7th) and the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational (11th).
The spring portion of the season is set to begin on Jan. 29-30 at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Arizona.
