Nico Acevado joined the Lobo Family in September of 2024 and he serves as Assistant Coach. Acevedo comes to UNM after a stellar collegiate career, playing for both FAU and Wichita State.
As a player, Acevedo was ranked No. 32 nationally in doubles while at FAU for his senior season. In singles, he reached a high-water mark of 109 as a member of the Wichita State Shockers, where he played from 2020-22.
A skilled doubles player in college, Acevedo won an ITF 25K doubles title in 2021, and he won the ITA Southeast Regional doubles title in 2022, earning a spot in the ITA National Doubles Tournament, advancing to the Round of 16
