Tahlia Garza joined the Lobo basketball staff in May of 2025 as Director of Basketball Operations. She came to UNM after serving the same role with the women’s basketball program at Santa Clara.
Garza spent the previous three seasons with the women’s program at Santa Clara, moving into the role of Director of Operations last season after serving two years as a graduate assistant. Last season with the Broncos, she managed video for the team and assisted in the day-to-day operations of the program.
A native of Morgan Hill, Calif., Garza played collegiately at UC Irvine. She made 116 appearances for the Anteaters from 2017-21, earning Big West Conference All-Academic honors three times. Garza graduated from UC Irvine in 2021 with a bachelor’s in sociology and earned her master’s in educational leadership from Santa Clara in 2024.
