
Marco Corda joined the Lobos full time as an assistant athletic trainer in January 2020 after spending three seasons as a graduate assistant earning his master’s degree from UNM (2017-19).
He is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation and treatment of athletic injuries for the women’s soccer team. He is in charge of emergency care, injury documentation and acts as a liaison between the coaches and the Lobo team physicians. Corda also serves as a preceptor to UNM athletic training students.
Corda earned his full time position following the completion of his master’s degree in sport and fitness administration/management at UNM in 2019.
Corda is a certified and licensed athletic trainer (ATC, LAT) and also holds a CSCS certification (certified strength and conditioning coach).
Prior to attending UNM, Corda earned his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from the University of Florida (2013-17). As an undergraduate student, Corda worked with a variety of different sports teams at UF, including the Florida Gators football, women’s soccer and the softball teams.
