Lindsay Ward enters her first season at The University of New Mexico after being hired as an assistant coach in April 2026.
Ward joins Head Coach Amy Eagan from Lindenwood, where she also served in the role as assistant coach for the past three seasons. In the 2023-24 season, Lindenwood led the Ohio Valley Conference in turnover margin (+3.68) and under her guidance, Makayla Wallace set the single-season program record for steals at 72, tying the conference lead with 2.6 steals per game and ranked 24th in the NCAA.
Before her time at Lindenwood, Ward coached for two seasons at Benedictine University, primarily working with the guards.
The Lobo assistant coach got her start in coaching as a graduate assistant at William Woods, coaching one all-conference player and recruited the 2021-22 America Midwest Conference Freshman of the Year.
Ward played for Lindenwood from 2016-20, scoring over 1,000 points and holds the single season and program record for assists with 433. During her time as a Lion, Ward earned All-GLVC honors, Lindenwood appeared in three consecutive NCAA Tournaments and had been ranked in the WBCA Top 25 multiple times.
