Katie Keiper joined the Lobo family in January of 2026.
Keiper joins New Mexico following a successful coaching career at the high school and club levels, most recently serving as a head coach for Great Plains Volleyball Club, working with U17 and U18 teams since December 2023. She also served as head coach at Eisenhower High School (Lawton, Okla.) from 2024 through 2025, earning 2024 Oklahoma Coaches Association Region 4 Coach of the Year honors.
Prior to her time in Oklahoma, Keiper coached extensively in the Pacific Northwest, including stints with T3 VBC and 208 VBC, where she served as a head coach for U14 and U15 teams and an assistant coach at the U15 and U16 levels. She also coached at Gonzaga Preparatory School and College Prep Academy Volleyball Club while contributing to the sport as a regional referee for the Evergreen Region Volleyball Association.
Keiper’s resume includes a unique blend of collegiate, international, and professional experience – she spent time at Northern Arizona University before transferring to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where she completed her collegiate playing career. In total, Keiper has over 15 years of experience as both a player and a coach.
Internationally, Keiper competed from 2017–2020 with the Lakenheath U.S. Air Force Women’s Team based out of England, earning three first-place finishes across competitions in Germany and England. Additionally serving as coach of the All-Air Force European Women's Team, Keiper took home gold at the Aircom Tournament in 2020.
She also played on the UK Pro Beach Tour from 2017–19, recording two first-place finishes in coed and women’s doubles competition. Prior to joining Hosfeld’s staff in Albuquerque, Keiper also played with VLA Team Sakura based out of Oklahoma City.
A graduate of UCCS, Keiper holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
