Jessica Dwyer joined the Lobo Family in July 2026, serving as Assistant Athletic Trainer and working with the football program.
Dwyer previously had stints at UTSA and USF, working with the football programs there, as well as a variety of other sports. At UTSA, she worked with Lobo head football trainer Sam Hinojosa.
Dwyer worked at UTSA for the 2025-26 season, working with football and women’s tennis. There, along with injury prevention and rehabilitation, she coordinated general medicine, including dental and vision. She was also responsible for patient scheduling, documentation, tracking, and monitoring.
She also served as a preceptor for the Master of Athletic Training students and undergraduate students.
Before UTSA, she served as an athletic trainer for the USF football program. In her first full-time collegiate position, she specialized in implementing student-athlete injury rehabilitation for non-surgical and post-operative injuries. She also oversaw knee brace fitting and mouthguard molding. In addition to football, she assisted with women’s tennis and served as an athletic trainer for various USF youth camps.
She completed clinicals at Mizzou working with the football program as part of her master’s work, and she worked at her alma mater, Culver-Stockton, as part of her master’s.
She earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s from Culver-Stockton in 2023 and 2024, respectively, while a student-athlete, playing soccer.
