India Caldwell-Vasquez officially joined the Lobo Family in February of 2025 as she serves as Assistant Equipment Manager. Caldwell-Vasquez was student equipment manager at UNM for two years before joining the staff on a full-time basis.
Caldwell-Vasquez works closely with the Director of Equipment Operations to handle all manners of equipment for Lobo Football, while also assisting with in-game and post-game duties with basketball. For Lobo Football, India quickly distinguished herself as a student with her work ethic and problem-solving skills and served as a de facto lead assistant for her final season.
In the Spring of 2025, she was awarded one of three Riddell Career Boost Scholarships for aspiring equipment managers. With this she was sent to the annual Athletic Equipment Managers Association Convention (AEMA) where she met and led discussions with the other scholarship recipients and other Certified Equipment Managers across the country as well as with prominent vendors.
Caldwell-Vasquez graduated from The University of New Mexico with a degree in exercise science in 2024 and she is working on her master’s in Sports Administration.
