David Sher joined the University of New Mexico in February of 2023 as the assistant director of athletic facilities. Sher has oversight of all athletic facilities and special events that take place in each facility.
A native of Philadelphia, Penn., Sher earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management (2022) from Marietta College, in Marietta, Ohio. In the fall of 2023 he plans to begin his master’s degree in sport administration from the University of New Mexico.
During his time at Marietta College, Sher worked closely with the athletic department as a student game day administrator, and assisted with many basketball championships, and NCAA First Round, Second Round, Sweet 16, and Elite 8 Games during his time as a student. He was also a four year member of the Sports Business Association, and president of the organization for two of the four years.
