Cheyne Dorsey enters his second season as the video coordinator for the women’s basketball team at The University of New Mexico. Prior to becoming the video coordinator, Dorsey spent the past year as an assistant director of operations and as a graduate assistant for the Lobos.
In his current role, Dorsey is responsible for producing videos, graphics, visuals, and media content for social media use. He is also in charge of utilizing Sports Code and Synergy for film exchange and scouting purposes.
Before his time working with the women’s basketball program, Dorsey was a student-athlete at UNM competing as a track athlete for the Lobos from 2014-2017. On the track, Dorsey primarily ran the 400 and the 400 Hurdles. He was a part of three Mountain West Championships, winning two-straight indoor titles in 2014-15 and helping the Lobos claim the outdoor crown in 2014. Dorsey was also a five-time All-MW performer running on all-conference 4×400 and distance medley relay teams.
Dorsey has a pair of degrees from The University of New Mexico earning a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Business Administration/Communications in 2016 and a Master’s of Physical Education in 2018.
