Sophomore (2016): Turned in a great sophomore season, coming in as UNM’s most improved Nordic skier … was very consistent for the season, and turned in his first career top-20 finish, coming in 14th at the Utah 20K Classical, scoring 18 points … scored 12 points in the 10K freestyle race by coming in 28th at the Jade Enterprises/UNM Invitational.
Freshman (2015): Saw action in 10 races, scoring 14 points … had his best finish of the season in the Colorado/Spencer Nelson, where he came in 22nd in the classical race … best finish in the freestyle was 24th at the Alaska-Anchorage Invitational … came in 25th in the classical and 29th in the freestyle at the RMISA/NCAA West Regionals.
Prior to UNM: Graduated from Park City High School in Park City, Utah in 2014 … lettered in skiing for Gordon Lange.
Personal: Is a native of Park City … his parents are Stuart and Linda Beling … has a younger brother Karston … started skiing at age 6 … majoring in Nuclear Engineering.
