Sara Ottosson Season 2015-16

Junior (2015): Skied in every race and finishing all but one as she qualified for the NCAA Championships as a freshman … was stronger over the season in the slalom, where she had four top-10s and seven top-20s … had four top-20s with a top-10 in the giant slalom … finsihed 18th in the slalom at the national championships, and didn’t complete her second run in the giant slalom at the NCAAs, her only non-finish of the year … had her best meet at the RMISA/NCAA West Championships, finishing seventh in the slalom and eighth in the giant slalom … that followed the Alaska-Anchorage Invitational, in which she was seventh in the slalom and 14th in the GS … opened her career with a top-10 finish, coming in eighth at the Utah Invitational in the slalom … did well in the two slaloms at the Jade Enterprises/UNM Invitational, coming in ninth and 11th.

Prior to UNM: Graduated from the Sweden Ski Elite Academy in 2014 … in her FIS career, she had a great double at the Swedish National Junior Championships, finishing second in the slalom and sixth in the giant slalom on back-to-back days in March of 2014 …opened that month with a pair of podium finishes, including a pair of blistering runs in what turned out to be an eventual second place showing in the slalom … overall in the 2014 FIS season, Ottosson has five podium finishes, four of which are in the slalom … opened her 2014 with a podium finish in the giant slalom at Hassela … had a great 2013 season that saw her finish in the top 10 in 10 straight races over four countries, including two titles in a pair of slalom races at Bydalsfjaellen in her native Sweden … overall she had a run of 13 top 10s in 17 races, including five slalom titles.
