Freshman (2014): Had five top 20 finishes in her rookie season, four in the giant slalom and one in the slalom … completed 20 of 22 runs … one of her uncompleted runs was at home when her pole snapped in half … had her first top 20 with an 18th place finish at the RMISA Qualifier in Park City, Utah … had her best finish of 15th on the season in the giant slalom at the Montana State Invitational … finished 20th at the giant slalom in Colorado, and then followed that up the next day with a 19th place finish at the RMISA Qualifier on the same track … had her only slalom top 20 finish at the Jade Enterprises/UNM Invitational, finished 18th … finished 24th in the slalom at the RMISA/NCAA West Regionals, and 26th in the giant slalom at the same meet.
Prior to UNM: A 2011 graduate of Niwot High School in Niwot, Colo.,…raced for Winter Park Competition Center under coaches Ian Dunlop and Stefan Hughes…competed in US Alpine Nationals in 2012…finished fifth in the 2011-12 Colorado Surefoot Cup Standings…also played soccer and tennis and ran track in high school.
Personal: Born March 13, in Louisville , Colo., to parents Kathy and Dave Grauer…has one older sister Kacey…nickname is Tay or T…favorite athletes are Lara Gut and Abby Wambach… hobbies include tennis, hiking, exploring the outdoors, water sports, knitting and reading…favorite food is bagels with cream cheese…favorite movie is Pitch Perfect…chose New Mexico because had heard great things about head alpine coach, Joe Downing, and already knew a number of the Lobo student-athletes..majoring in exercise science.
