NEW MEXICO: Junior who sprouted in a big way in 2013-14, becoming an integral figure in the Lobos’ postseason run … played in three tournaments as a true freshman in 2012-13.
2013-14 (SOPHOMORE): Had a huge performance at the NCAA Auburn Regional in May, tying for 11th place with an even-par 216, his team’s best performance … also had his best-ever collegiate finish at the Lone Star Invitational in March, tying for sixth with a 4-under 212. … played in 10 events this season with seven top-30 finishes.
2012-13 (FRESHMAN): Finished second at the New Mexico Collegiate Cup in Truth or Consequences, N.M., a tournament that featured four New Mexico teams and UTEP…shot a 1-over 145 (72-73)…finished 64th among 83 golfers at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate with a 17-over 233 (80-75-78)…finished 68th among 88 players at the Arizona Intercollegiate with a 16-over 229 (81-73-75)…competed in the Southern Amateur in The Woodlands, Texas in July, shooting a 3-over 147 through two rounds…shot a 1-over 145 at the Texas State Open in August.
HIGH SCHOOL: The 2012 Texas High School District 8-5A boys champion for Plano East High School, as well as an All-District selection…a four-year member of the Plano East HS boys golf team and four-year All-District 8-5A honoree…eight tournament individual wins during his prep career, including a runner-up finish at district his junior season…played for coach Jon Engel King.
