Sean HornerJunior (2014): A two-time All-American last season, earning First Team All-America honors in the slalom and Second Team All-America honors in the giant slalom … Horner was also the RMISA Alpine MVP, and he was named Second Team All-RMISA … completed all 28 of his runs on the season … had 10 top-10 finishes, nine of which came in his final nine races … overall he had 12 top 20 finishes as well … finished in the top 10 just once in his first five races, finishing ninth in the RMISA giant slalom qualifier in Utah … started his top-10 run with a pair of fourth place finishes at the Colorado/Spencer Nelson Invitational in the slalom and giant slalom … followed that up with his first podium finish, coming in second at the RMISA giant slalom qualifier in Colorado … was named the RMISA Skier of the Week for his performance … had another podium finish in his next race, coming in second at the Jade Enterprises/New Mexico Invitational … finished eighth in the second slalom at the same event … finished sixth in the giant slalom at the RMISA/NCAA West Championships, and then 10th in the slalom … saved his best for last with a pair of All-American runs … came in seventh in the giant slalom, earning Second Team All-American honors … finished fifth in the slalom, earning First Team honors.

Sophomore (2013):
Placed seventh in the slalom at the CU Invite on Jan. 8 for a new career-best finish…recorded seven top-20 finishes…was eighth in the first slalom at the UNM Invite on Feb. 9…turned in a solid performance at the DU Invite, placing 14th (SL) and 17th (GS).

Sean HornerFreshman (2012): Earned All-Academic Ski Team honors from the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association and Lobo Scholar-Athlete honors…had four top-20 finishes for the Lobos…finished 14th in the giant slalom at the RMISA Alpine Qualifier #1 on Jan. 6…finished 20th in the giant slalom at the CU Invitational/Spencer Nelson Memorial…took 12th place in the slalom at the Seawolf Invitational on Feb. 11…finished 19th at the NCAA Qualifer on Feb. 22 in the slalom.

Prior to UNM: Graduated from Boulder High School in 2009…earned four academic letters in high school…started racing for the Winter Park Ski Team when he was 10 years old…trained with the Eldora Ski Team all through high school and spent his weekends skiing at Winter Park…attended the University of Colorado fall 2011…was coached by Ian Dunlop the last two years and was top-ten overall in the Surefoot Ski Cup standings.

Personal: Born in Boulder, Colo…son of Glenn and Maggi Horner…has one younger sister, Megan…hobbies include mountain biking, climbing mountains, slacklining and golfing…favorite athlete is Lance Armstrong…favorite food is hot wings…favorite movie is The Pursuit of Happiness…plans to study exercise science and aspires to become a physical therapist.
