NEW MEXICO: A three-year starter who will bring NCAA Championship Tournament experience to the team along with fellow senior Victor Perez…already is tied for first on the all-time UNM victories list with five and tied a school record with four wins in 2013-14…his 72.27 strokes per round average at UNM ranks third all-time on the school’s list. … has placed on the Golf Coaches Association of America All-America teams twice during his career…became the first amateur to win an event on the professional Asian Development Tour, capturing the PGM Vascory Templer Park Championship by a whopping 11 strokes.

2014-15 (SENIOR): Earned a World Amateur Golf Ranking of No. 5 in June of 2014 after his victory on the Asian Development Tour.

2013-14 (JUNIOR): Finished as the No. 31 player in the nation by Golfweek.com and No. 23 by Golfstat.com … a second-team All-America selection for his play … also a PING All-West Region selection for the second consecutive season, as well as a Mountain West first-team repeater … had four wins during the season, tying a school record set in 1992-93 by Tim Herron. … won the Mountain West Championship in April … also won the prestigious Western Refining Collegiate All-American event in November, was the champion at the William H. Tucker Intercolleigate in late September and captured the Lone Star Invitational Trophy in March .,. three of his four wins came in playoffs (except the Western Refining) … seven top-10 finishes and 10 top-20 performances in 14 events … tied for 47th at the European Tour’s Maybank Malaysian Open from April 17-20, ranking as the top amateur.

2012-13 (SOPHOMORE): A third-team All-America selection by the Golf Coaches Association of America…Also a first-team PING All-West selection and an All-Mountain West selection…had 10 top 20 finishes, including six top-10s, this season…finished a team-best 26th among the 156 competitors at the NCAA Championships in Alpharetta, Ga….also won his match during UNM’s match-play quarterfinal against eventual national champion Alabama…tied for 15th at the NCAA Regional in Columbus, Ohio…finished third at the MW Championship from May 3-5 in Tucson…won his first collegiate tournament when he birdied a 30-foot putt on No. 18 to win the William H. 2011-12 (FRESHMAN): Played in all 14 tournaments as a meber of UNM’s top five…had five top-20 finishes…best result came at the Mountain West tournament in May when he finished tied for ninth with a 1-under-par 212…averaged 73.64 strokes per round with a low of 67…finished tied 14th at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate at the UNM Championship Course with a 4-over 220…consistently in the top 300 in the GolfWeek.com individual rankings.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Sri KDU High School in Selangor, Malaysia. … Played for coach Tony Maloney … Finished seventh at the Callaway Junior World Championships … Made two of three cuts at the Iskander Johor Open (Asian Tour) … Won the Malaysian Amateur Close three consecutive years. … Three-time winner at the Kurnia Saujana Amateur Championship … Twice played in the Maybank Malaysian Open, a European tour event, competing against such luminaries as Rory McIroy, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen … Won the TaylorMade Masters Junior event in Las Vegas twice.
