ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Saturday, April 25, isn’t just going to be the Lobo Football Spring Game. It’s going to be a Football Fiesta, and everyone is invited.
The day will be filled with plenty of fun, starting with the always popular Equipment Surplus Sale, back by popular demand. That will lead into the Spring Football game at 1 p.m. After the game, fans can head out to Louie Lane for a postgame tailgate, then head into Isotopes Park for New Mexico United's home game at 6:55 p.m. against AV Alta FC in an Open Cup match.
The Spring Game for the Lobos is a much-anticipated one after going 9-4 last year and tying for first place in the Mountain West. The Lobos, who were picked 11th in the 2025 preseason poll, ended the season on a six-game regular-season winning streak, leading to an appearance in the Rate Bowl in Phoenix against Minnesota.

The Lobos lead the Mountain West heading into 2026 in returning production and starters returning, and will take a seven-game home winning streak into the 2026 season opener against Central Michigan on September 5. Season tickets are moving well ahead of previous years, and fans who jump on the bandwagon will receive a Real Ones package that has become a must-have for Lobo fans.
The Real Ones package featured a Golden Ticket for an exclusive Coach Eck bobblehead, a Real Ones yard flag, a personally signed note from Coach Eck, a Real Ones bumper sticker, an exclusive season ticket holder schedule magnet, and a Golden Ticket for a special season ticket holder event. Fans can purchase season tickets right here.
Of course, along with the game, other highlights are the popular Equipment Surplus Sale and the Football Meets Futbol event in Louie Lane between the Spring Game and the United match.
The equipment surplus sale, which allows fans to purchase game-used and surplus equipment, will be held from 9-12 p.m. in the Indoor Practice Facility. Fans can line up as early as 7:30 am to secure a spot. Certain items are limited due to supply numbers, such as game-used helmets. More information regarding the equipment surplus sale will be announced on GoLobos.com and on social media next week, including parking, entrance, and purchase information.
After the Spring game from 3 – 5:30 p.m., fans can visit Louie Lane for a tailgate featuring vendors, games, food trucks, and an autograph session with Lobo Football players and members of the New Mexico United Academy. Additionally, the match is United’s “Pups on the Pitch” night, and adoptable dogs will be at Louie Lane. Additionally, a Lowrider show will feature as many as 30 Lowriders for fans to check out.
“We are excited to join with the New Mexico United for a great day of Football and Futbol,” said Vice President/Director of Athletics Ryan Berryman. It will certainly make for a great sports day in Albuquerque.
Jules Myers of the United echoed that. “This is an exciting opportunity to bring two amazing fanbases together,” said the Senior Manager of Matchday Production and Community Impact.
