COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The Mountain West announced the 2025 Fall All-Academic teams for the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, football, women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball, and New Mexico had a non-COVID semester school-record 96 student-athletes honored.
Last semester, the Lobos had 92 honorees. Lobo football led the way with a non-COVID semester record of 43 honorees and that total was second only to Fresno State, which had 44 honorees. Boise State, which led the league with 97 total honorees, also had 43 football players honored.
New Mexico volleyball tied for the league lead with 14 honorees, and the women's cross country team was tied for the second most among all Mountain West women's cross country programs with 14 honorees.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and competing in 50 percent of their team’s completed varsity contests. Some latitude was permitted to accommodate injured student-athletes.
