ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico Volleyball got back on the winning track with the Lobos’ first straight-sets victory of the season, dispatching Nevada in three (25-14, 25-20, 25-14) with their most efficient hitting night of the season to snap a seven-match skid Friday night at The Pit - Powered by Nusenda.

In the process, UNM Head Coach Brian Hosfeld also got his first Mountain West win – the Lobos improved to 3-10 overall and 1-2 in MW matchups heading into Sunday’s rematch.

Addison France paced UNM with a match-high 11 kills on .526 hitting, while Reagan Miller added nine kills without an error on 14 swings (.643). Campbell Hollister also went errorless, finishing with eight kills on 16 attempts (.500), and Uliana Yastrub and Mina Stanojevic contributed eight kills apiece.

Madeleine Miller recorded a double-double with 36 assists and 10 digs, adding five kills on six errorless attempts and UNM’s lone ace. Stanojevic led the defense with 11 digs, while Camila Canedo contributed nine digs and eight assists.

The Lobos finished with a .455 hitting percentage, committing just nine attack errors while holding Nevada to .139 hitting and 17 errors. That .455 clip is the second-highest of any UNM match in the rally scoring era, just .005 behind the program record (.460, vs. Air Force, 10/3/2009).

UNM led in kills (49-31), assists (48-29) and digs (42-23), with both teams recording two blocks. Nevada held a 3-1 edge in aces, but the Lobos committed fewer service errors (5-7) and sided out at a 77.6% rate compared with the Wolf Pack’s 50%.

SET ONE - NEW MEXICO 25, NEVADA 14
New Mexico set the tone with a dominant 25-14 opening-set victory, hitting .538 with 16 kills and just two attack errors while holding Nevada to a .069 clip. Addison France powered the offense with seven kills on 10 errorless swings, including three as the Lobos raced to a 6-1 lead and forced an early Wolf Pack timeout.

UNM continued to stretch its advantage, moving ahead 12-3 before building a 20-7 cushion. Campbell Hollister and Mina Stanojevic added three kills apiece, with Stanojevic also contributing a solo block, while Madeleine Miller distributed 14 assists. France put down consecutive kills to bring the Lobos to set point, and Reagan Miller delivered the finishing swing to secure a 1-0 lead.

SET TWO - NEW MEXICO 25, NEVADA 20
The Lobos used a five-point run midway through the second set to pull away for a 25-20 victory that sealed a 2-0 advantage. After Nevada got back within a point at 12-11, Reagan Miller sparked the surge with a kill before teaming with Madeleine Miller for a block. An Uliana Yastrub kill and consecutive Wolf Pack attack errors stretched UNM’s lead to 17-11.

The Lobos hit .342 with 17 kills, led by Reagan Miller’s five on eight errorless swings. Stanojevic, Yastrub and Madeleine Miller added three kills apiece, with Madeleine also handing out 12 assists. Nevada trimmed the margin to three on several occasions, but UNM maintained control down the stretch, getting two late kills from Reagan Miller before Madeleine Miller closed the set with a kill.

SET THREE - NEW MEXICO 25, NEVADA 14
New Mexico finished the sweep with another commanding performance in the third set, hitting .542 with 16 kills and just three errors in a 25-14 victory. The Lobos opened an 8-3 lead before a five-point run, highlighted by a Madeleine Miller ace and kills from Miller and Mina Stanojevic, pushed the advantage to 15-6.

After Nevada scored three straight, UNM answered with five consecutive points to build a 20-9 cushion, getting two Addison France kills and another from Uliana Yastrub during the run. Yastrub led the Lobos with four kills in the set, while France and Campbell Hollister added three apiece. A Nevada service error sealed the 25-14, 25-20, 25-14 sweep.

ALL-TIME SERIES
With Friday’s win, New Mexico has now won four in a row over Nevada – the Lobos have won 22 of their 25 meetings with Nevada since the series began in 2012. The Lobos won the first nine matchups and have taken 13 of 14 since Nevada’s two wins in 2017. UNM swept both meetings in 2025, winning 3–0 at home on Oct. 30 and on the road Nov. 13.
