1  – That’s where Mexico ranks in the FBS in scoring defense, allowing just 11.3 points per game.

5 – That’s the number of FBS teams where its tight end is both the leading pass catcher and the leading receiver. New Mexico tight end Cade Kieth leads the team with 20 catches and 265 yards. Memphis, Wyoming, Louisiana Tech, and Eastern Michigan are the other schools.

7 – That's the number of consecutive games that New Mexico has recorded at least two takeaways. UNM is the only team in the nation to have multiple takeaways in every game this season.

9 – That’s New Mexico's consecutive conference wins, the longest streak in school history, and technically tied for the second-longest in the nation. Ohio State has won 13 in a row, although it lost the Big 10 title game last year after a 9-0 regular season.

12 – That’s the number of scores UNM has allowed this season: nine touchdowns and three field goals. It's the fewest scores allowed by any team in the FBS this season.

15 – That's Jason Eck's win total in his first 20 games with UNM, a Lobo record that tops Marv Levy and Gwinn Henry, who both won 14.

16 – That's the most wins that UNM has ever won over a two-season span. The Lobos currently have 15 wins, and can tie the record with a win on Saturday.

57 – That’s how many years it's been since New Mexico last beat San Jose State. UNM is 0-7-1 since beating the Spartans in San Jose in 1969. One Lobo has a more recent win in San Jose: Jason Eck; you got into the game in 1997 at San Jose in a 56-10 Badger win. It marked Eck's first career game at Wisconsin.

167 – That’s how many games UNM has gone without allowing a kickoff return touchdown, the longest streak in the nation. UNM inherited the streak last week when Kansas State, which had the longest streak, gave up a kickoff return touchdown.

261.0 – That’s the average yards allowed per game by UNM's defense. It's the fewest yards allowed since 1964, when UNM allowed 210.5 yards per game.
