ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The bye is over, and the Lobos face a big test as UNM travels across the Pacific to take on the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors. The game will be played at 4:30 pm in Honolulu, which is 8:30 p.m. in Albuquerque.

The Lobos enter the game at 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the Mountain West. UNM is one of two unbeaten Mountain West teams, with UNLV at 2-0. Hawai'i, predicted to be one of the league's top teams, has struggled to date, sitting at a surprising 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the Mountain West.

FS1 selected the game, with Carlo Jimenez and Robert Smith on the call. Robert Portnoy and DonTrell Moore will call the game on the Lobo Radio Network.

Hawai'i leads the all-time series 17-11, and 13-6 in Honolulu. The Rainbow Warriors have won the last two meetings on the Island, including a 38-30 win in the 2024 season finale, a game which eliminated UNM from clinching a bowl berth.

UNM's last win in Hawai'i was a 28-21 win that turned on a late Lee Crosby fumble return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, breaking a 21-21 tie.
