ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s basketball team announced its complete 2026-27 schedule on Monday, a 32-game slate featuring at least 20 national television appearances.
The 14-non-conference schedule includes three games against 2026 NCAA Tournament teams (at Santa Clara, home vs. Utah State and Saint Mary’s) and two against teams that played in last year’s NIT (at Wichita State and at UC Irvine). The Lobos’ non-conference slate also includes a home matchup with New Mexico State and the SoCal Challenge, featuring neutral site matchups with Oregon State and Boise State.
The 18-game Mountain West schedule will be a full double round robin amongst the 10 conference schools, as UNM will host and visit each of the other nine conference foes.
New Mexico leads all conference schools with 20 nationally televised games as part of the Mountain West’s television package, including 17 of 18 conference games. The Lobos will appear on CBS Sports Network eight times (Saint Mary’s, Nevada, at UNLV, at Grand Canyon, UNLV, UTEP, Wyoming, at Nevada), will appear on FS1 five times (at UTEP, San Jose State, at Hawai’i, Air Force, at Wyoming) and will appear on CW seven times (Utah State, New Mexico State, UC Davis, at Air Force, Grand Canyon, at San Jose State and Hawai’i). UNM could have additional national television appearances for road and neutral games in non-conference play. All home non-conference games and the one Mountain West game (at UC Davis) not selected for national television will be broadcast on MW+.
The Lobos, picked as the preseason favorite to win the Mountain West, began their preseason schedule Sunday with a 99-89 victory at Oklahoma State. New Mexico returns home for its final two exhibitions later this month, hosting Washington State on Oct. 18 and Arizona State on Oct. 25 at The Pit – Powered by Nusenda as part of the Power Ford Tip-Off Series. Both games will tip-off at 2 p.m. Season ticket holders are reminded to log into their account at GoLobos.com/myaccount to reserve their seats for the Washington State and Arizona State games at the cost of $5 per ticket.
