ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Following a week in which she led the Lobos with six points behind two goals and two assists, Lobo forward Presley Devey was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
It marks the second offensive weekly conference accolade for Devey as a Lobo and the first conference award for a Lobo this season.
Through the first week of conference play, Devey leads the MW in points, ahead of UNM’s Fiona Jenkins and Nicole Anderson who are tied for second with five each. In addition, Devey is tied for the conference lead in goals and in assists.
The Lobo paced the team with two assists in Thursday night’s win over San José State and added two goals in Sunday’s win over Nevada. The two assists were a career high for the Utah native and the two goals tied her season high.
Of note, Devey assisted on the game-winning goal on Thursday and her two goals tied the match and scored the game-winner on Sunday, which came 5:29 apart.
The Lobos (5-2-2, 2-0-0 MW) return to the road to face Grand Canyon in their lone match of the week on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. MT on MW+.
