ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The New Mexico men's tennis team heads out for fall tournament No. 3 as the Lobos and head coach Rob Bareford will send four players to the Sherwood Collegiate Cup in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Three Lobos will make their 2026-27 debuts, as transfer Max Relic will make his overall Lobo debut. He is joined by Philip Bosin and Alberto Perez, both of whom played key roles last season. Dario Ciobotaru, fresh off a solid showing at the ITA All-American Championships, where he advanced into the Round of 64, will also play this week.
The Sherwood Collegiate Cup features top-flight competition, with some of the best teams from the West in attendance, and the Lobos are one of 13 schools with players in the three-day tournament. Along with New Mexico, student-athletes from USC, SMU, UCLA, Pepperdine, California, Grand Canyon, Pacific, Loyola Marymount, Saint Mary's, Cal Poly, and BYU are in attendance.
There is no live scoring of the event, but follow Lobo Men's Tennis on Instagram and X for updates; both are found at @UNMLoboMTennis.
