ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Calling all freelance photographers and videographers! When Lobo Football hosts UTEP on Saturday, October 3, at 2 p.m. at University Stadium, you could be on the sidelines covering that game.

UNM Athletics external staff has designated the game against UTEP as its "New Mexico Creatives Game," where up-and-coming freelance photographers and videographers can gain real-world experience covering a Mountain West football game from the sidelines.

Credentials to cover Lobo Football and Lobo Athletics are normally reserved for photographers and videographers who are affiliated with a newsgathering organization, such as the Albuquerque Journal or a local television station.

However, for the game with UTEP, UNM's communications office will select a limited number of freelance photographers and videographers to provide an opportunity to be on the field and gain real, meaningful experience covering the Lobos.

To apply for the opportunity to be part of the Creatives Game, freelance photographers and videographers can apply using UNM's credential application link, located here. The application deadline is noon on Tuesday, September 29.

Selected applicants will receive an "I'm attending" graphic for social media. They will receive a media credential and parking pass for the game and will sign out a media vest at the game to be on the sidelines and capture the action from pregame to the final play. Selected creatives can build personal brands and portfolios while tagging Lobo Football and Lobo Athletics, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for creatives.

All applicants must high school graduates per NCAA rules and must provide a portfolio link (Instagram, website, YouTube link, etc.). Selected applicants will be notified by Wednesday morning, September 30, if not sooner.

UNM will also post a "Best of" in the days following the game, highlighting the best content.
