LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- Grant Glasgow, who accounted for all of UNM's points in a close 14-6 loss to No. 24/21 Oklahoma on Saturday, picked up the first conference honor of his career as he was named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week.
North Dakota State swept the other awards with Jackson Williams, earning honors for offense, Darius Givance for defense, and Gavin Sell for freshman.
Glasgow had a perfect day on Saturday, hitting both of his field goal attempts in the 14-6 loss. He put UNM on the board with 4:00 left in the first half with a 24-yard field goal, and then just 2:12 later he drilled a 42-yarder to make the halftime score 7-6.
Those kicks moved him to 5-for-6 on the year, and 4-for-4 from the 40-49 yard range. His only miss to this point was a 50-yarder against Central Michigan in the opener.
Glasgow also had a touchback on the opening kickoff against Oklahoma.
The Lobos travel I-25 to take on New Mexico State in the 116th edition of the Rio Grande Rivalry on Saturday at Aggie Memorial Stadium at 1:30 pm. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network, and Lobo fans can listen to Robert Portnoy and Don Trell Moore on the Lobo Radio Network, starting with the pregame show at 12:30 pm.
