ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobos close out the non-conference portion of the schedule against Idaho State on Sunday at 1 p.m.

It will be UNM’s annual Childhood Cancer Match, the 10th year recognizing Emma Davis and raising awareness for the disease.

Admission is free and for those unable to attend, will stream on MW+ which will require a subscription.

UNM enters the match 3-2-1 with ISU 2-5-1 and coming off of a 6-0 loss to Utah State on Thursday.

Sunday will mark the fifth match all-time between the two programs, with UNM 4-0-0 and 3-0-0 at home in the series. UNM has outscored ISU 15 to 4 between the four matches, the last a 5-0 Lobo win in 2018.

ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Idaho State is 2-5-1 on the season and the Bengals have lost their last three, a 6-0 loss to SMU and also Utah State and a 3-1 loss to UC Santa Barbara.

The Bengals share two common opponents with the Lobos in UNLV (tied 3-3) and CSUN (lost 1-0).

ISU has scored nine goals this season, led by two goals each from Saydree Cooke and Lacie Poll, while Cooke leads the team with three assists and seven points.

In net, Aliya Garrett has appeared in eight matches, allowing 13 goals with 21 saves. Hannah Wieler has played in four matches with nine goals allowed and 13 saves and Talon Bennett has played in one match.

Opponents are outscoring the Bengals 22-9 with a 9-6 goal margin in the first half and 13-3 in the second half.

Following Sunday’s match, the Lobos open Mountain West play with two matches at home, starting with San José State on Thursday and Nevada on Sunday. Both matches will be streamed on MW+.
