MUSKOKA LAKES, Ont. – The New Mexico men’s golf team continued its strong play at the Canadian Collegiate on Monday, holding a six-shot lead after 36 holes of the event. The Lobos shot 7-under at Oviinbyrd Golf Club in the second round, to maintain their lead at 15-under overall.

New Mexico will enter the final round six shots ahead of Notre Dame, who is at 9-under. Mississippi State is third at even par, while Santa Clara (2-over) and Missouri (10-over) round out the top five.

Two Lobos share the individual lead after 36 holes, as Johnnie Clark and Wyatt Provence are both at 7-under. Both players followed up a first-round 68 with a second round 67 on Monday. Thayer Plewe shot a 1-under 70 in the second round and is T-5th overall at 4-under. Clark Sonnenberg shot 73 in the second round and Oliver Scriven rounded out the lineup with a second-round 86. Dylan Park, playing as an individual, shot 67 in the second round.

The tournament concludes Tuesday at Oviinbyrd GC.
