ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team opens its 2026-27 season Monday-Tuesday as it hosts the 48th annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational. The event at the 6,354-yard, par-72 UNM Championship Course is free for spectators to attend.

The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. The final round will be Tuesday, also starting with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.

This year’s tournament features 13 schools. Joining the host Lobos are Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Fresno State, Montana State, Nevada, Northern Arizona, Pepperdine, Sacramento State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UTEP, UC Irvine and UNLV.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Ausanee Udkamtiang, Ava Cepeda, Chelsea Truong, Ciara Rushmer and Julia Gelma Labarga. Juliette Hole, Lena Tremouille, Rebecca Galasso and Sara Montejo Rey will compete as individuals.

The 48th Annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational marks the 71st year that UNM has hosted a women’s golf event, dating back to 1956 in conjunction with the William H Tucker Invitational hosted by the UNM men’s team. The Lobos have won seven team titles when hosting the event, most recently in 2008. Sacramento State, the 2025 champion, returns to defend the title.
