LINCOLN, NEB. -- New Mexico Volleyball fell in straight sets for the first time this season in their weekend opener with No. 1 Nebraska Thursday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, dropping a 25-12, 25-13, 25-15 decision to the undefeated Cornhuskers.
Nebraska finished with a 43-21 advantage in kills and hit .356 for the match while holding the Lobos to a .046 clip. The Huskers also finished with seven team blocks and six service aces. Mina Stanojevic led New Mexico with eight kills to go with six digs, while Reagan Miller added four kills on .273 hitting. Madeleine Miller finished with 16 assists and Camila Canedo led the Lobos defensively with 10 digs. UNM produced its most efficient offensive set in the third, hitting .148 with seven kills and three errors.
