Cade Keith, a third-year tight end, was named to the John Mackey Preseason Watch List for the nation's best tight end.
Cade Keith, also the preseason All-Mountain West at tight end, has the most receptions and yards of any returning tight end in the Mountain West. He is the first Lobo to be named to the Mackey Award preseason watch list since two-time All-American Lucas Reed in 2012. Keith caught 20 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns during the 2025 season, and that's the most of any returning tight end in the Mountain West. He averaged 12.7 yards per reception, and his three touchdown receptions tied for the team lead among returning pass catchers entering the 2026 season.
He joins Jaxton Eck, who was named to the Nagurski Award Watch List, and Brian Booker for the Outland Trophy, as Lobos on major preseason watch lists.
