ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobos close out August at home against Cal State Northridge on Sunday at 1 p.m. with a Cherry Out.

UNM enters the match 1-1 with CSUN 1-3 following a Thursday loss at Grand Canyon. Sunday will be the third meeting all-time between the two programs, the last a 1-0 Lobo road win on Sept. 2, 2011. UNM is 2-0-0 in the series, with the last time the teams played in Albuquerque on Sept. 11, 2009, a 2-0 Lobo victory.
GO THE DISTANCE
In the first two matches, Fiona Jenkins, Kennedy Brown and Morgan Juran have played the full 180 minutes, along with goalkeeper Alyson Campbell.
Last season, Juran played 90 minutes in 14 of the 19 matches, and in her three years at UNM, has played the full 90 in 21 matches. Counting her freshman season at Elon, she’s played 90 minutes 29 times throughout her collegiate career.
Brown played 90 minutes 16 times last season and in a total of 32 matches in her time as a Lobo. Brown has also started every match the last three years and the last 53 matches.
Jenkins played 90 minutes in eight matches last season and 30 times in her four years as a Lobo.
HOME STATS
UNM was 5-1-2 at home last season and outscored opponents 24-8. Of the 24 goals, the Lobos scored 14 in the first half and outshot opponents 118-106, 62-53 in the second half and 56-53 in the first half.
The Lobos shutout four opponents in 2025 and started 2026 with a shutout.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
The Matadors are 1-3 with losses at Boise State (3-0), Idaho (1-0) and Grand Canyon (3-0), with their win coming at home against Idaho State (1-0).
Ariana Lopez-Angel scored the lone goal with CSUN taking 36 total shots this season with 18 on goal.
Hayden Mauldin has started all four matches in net and played all 360 minutes, allowing seven goals and making 36 saves. Of the seven goals allowed, four have occurred in the first half and three in the second half. Opponents are outshooting CSUN 45-21 in the first half and 44-15 in the second half (89-36 overall).
Sydney Lipkin was selected to the Big West Preseason Coaches' Team, and coming off of winning the Big West regular season last season, CSUN was picked eighth in the preseason poll.
