ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico volleyball program earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the seventh consecutive year, the organization announced Thursday.
The Lobos compiled a 3.82 cumulative team grade-point average during the 2025-26 academic year, posting a 3.85 GPA during the fall semester and a 3.79 GPA in the spring.
New Mexico was also named to the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes programs that finished among the top 20 percent academically within their respective division.
A total of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball programs received the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award. To qualify, teams were required to maintain a yearlong GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
