ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. –– New Mexico men’s golf head coach Jake Harrington will coach Team USA later this month at the 2026 Toyota Junior Golf World Cup. The tournament, which will feature teams from 11 countries, will be held June 23-26 at the Chukyo Golf Club outside of Nagoya, Japan.
Harrington will be coaching at the event for the third time, having also coached Team USA in 2013 and 2024. In 2013, the American squad featured future Masters champion and current World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Two years ago, Harrington led the Americans to a tie atop the leaderboard with South Korea, but lost the title on a tiebreaker.
The Toyota World Junior Cup celebrates its 32nd edition this year. Team USA has won nine boys’ titles, last coming in 2017.
The 2026 boys field includes three-player teams from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Japan, Puerto Rico, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand and United States.
