ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico freshman women’s golfer Ava Cepeda was honored Friday as the Mountain West announced its 2025-26 all-conference teams and awards. Cepeda was a second-team All-Mountain West honoree after leading the Lobos during her freshman season.
Cepeda, ranked in the top 300 of the individual rankings, led the Lobos with a 73.64 stroke average this season. She had a team-best nine rounds of par or better and was UNM’s top individual finisher in six of 10 events this season. Her best individual finish came at the Red Raider Invitational at Texas Tech in the fall, when she earned her first collegiate top-five.
