ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The conference portion of the 2026 University of New Mexico soccer schedule is finalized with the Mountain West set to welcome in UC Davis, UTEP and Hawai’i.
In Head Coach Karley Nelson’s first year at the helm, the Lobos will open up with two matches at home against San José State and Nevada on Sept. 24 and Sept. 27, respectively.
The Lobos will spend the next two matches on the road at Grand Canyon on Oct. 3 and Colorado College on Oct. 7 before welcoming new member UC Davis to Albuquerque on Oct. 11. Of note, while now Mountain West opponents, this will be the fifth time that UNM has faced UC Davis with the last time in 2021 and the second match played in Albuquerque with the other back in 2013.
New Mexico splits its next two matches with a match at Wyoming on Oct. 15 before hosting UNLV on Oct. 18. The Lobos have a midweek bye before a trip to Hawai’i to start the final week of conference play on Nov. 1. UNM has played Hawai’i three other times, the last in 2008, but will be the first match played in Hawai'i.
The Lobos close out conference at home against Air Force on Nov. 7 before the Mountain West Soccer Championships begins the week of Nov. 8 at a location still to be determined.
The remainder of the schedule will be announced at a later date.
