New Mexico will embark on its foreign tour from June 2-14, traveling to four countries and competing in up to six international matches as the Lobos prepare for the 2026 season. The team will open the trip in Prague, Czech Republic, before continuing to Vienna, Austria, Maribor, Slovenia, and Milan, Italy.
The NCAA permits programs to take one foreign tour every four years, providing teams with additional practices and international competition outside of the traditional season. For the Lobos, the trip will combine high-level volleyball, cultural experiences and team-building opportunities ahead of Head Coach Brian Hosfeld’s first season leading the program in fall 2026.
This summer’s trip was made possible thanks to a generous donation to the program from an anonymous donor. Fans interested in supporting Lobo Volleyball can contribute to the program-specific Point! Lobos fund at GoLobos.com/PointLobos.
Match results and behind-the-scenes content from the tour will be shared via GoLobos.com and at @UNMLoboVB on Instagram and X. More details, including match opponents and times, will be announced at a later date.
