ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Another piece of Head Coach Amy Eagan’s coaching staff has been hired in Julius Armstead as the director of women's basketball performance and applied science.

With the Lobos, Armstead will oversee the women's basketball strength and conditioning program.

Armstead spent the past three seasons with Eagan at Lindenwood, where he served as the men’s and women’s basketball strength coach. With the Lions, he designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs.

Prior to Lindenwood, he worked as an assistant strength coach at Arcadia for three years, also working men’s and women’s basketball as well as volleyball, and was a volunteer sports performance coach at Salisbury University. In addition to Lindenwood and Arcadia, Armstead also worked at Monmouth, Lasalle and Saint Joseph’s.

Armstead earned a master’s degree from Salisbury in applied health physiology and a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Rowan University.
