ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The No. 20 New Mexico men’s golf team concludes its regular season schedule this week with a trip to Phoenix for the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate. The elite event, hosted by Arizona State, will run Friday and Saturday at the Papago Golf Course.  

There will be two rounds of play Friday and one round on Saturday at the par-71, 7,555 yard course. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.

The tournament features a strong 10-team field, with all teams in the nation’s top 100, with nine of the 10 in the top 60. The field is highlighted by host Arizona State, ranked No. 9 nationally, while the No. 20 Lobos, No. 22 Arizona, No. 28 Long Beach State, No. 31 UCLA and No. 32 Utah make six top-32 teams in the field. No. 44 Colorado, No. 48 San Diego, No. 58 Oregon State and No. 91 Grand Canyon round out the field.  

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Mesa Falleur, Johnnie Clark, Wyatt Provence, Thayer Plewe and Clark Sonnenberg. Emil Albers is competing this week as an individual.  

New Mexico has finished in the top four of seven of 10 events this season, including a win at The Wohali.

The ASU Thunderbird Collegiate is an annual stop on the Lobos’ schedule. New Mexico finished fourth at last year’s tournament.
