RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concluded play Thursday at 2026 Mountain West Championship with the final round of play at the Dinah Shore Course at Mission Hills Country Club. The Lobos shot 15-over during the third round to finish the tournament tied for ninth place at 48-over.
UNLV won the title with a 14-over total, two shots ahead of San Jose State at 16-over. Grand Canyon (20-over), Wyoming (21-over) and Nevada (25-over) rounded out the top five.
Juliette Hole led UNM during the final round, shooting a 2-over 74 on Thursday. She finished in the individual top 30, T-27th at 11-over. Ciara Rushmer was the Lobos’ top finisher, in 25th place at 9-over after a final round 75. Maria Caparros Levin, Chelsea Truong and Rebecca Galasso each shot a 5-over 77 to round out the UNM lineup.
“I am proud of our fight,” said head coach Jill Trujillo. “It was such an up and down season, but we had many bright spots. Maria has been such a great leader for her team and I’m glad she ended her career on a good note.”
