RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – The New Mexico women’s golf team continued play Wednesday at 2026 Mountain West Championship with the second round of play at the Dinah Shore Course at Mission Hills Country Club. The Lobos shot 19-over during the second round to finish the day in 10th place at 33-over.
Grand Canyon leads the tournament at 8-over, one shot ahead on UNLV and Nevada, who are tied for second at 9-over. San Jose State (13-over) and Wyoming (16-over) round out the top five.
Ciara Rushmer led UNM on Wednesday with a 2-over 74 in the second round. She is the top Lobo on the individual leaderboard at 6-over overall, T-24th place. Juliette Hole shot 3-over on Wednesday, while Chelsea Truong shot 4-over. Rebecca Galasso and Maria Caparros Levin posted scores of 10-over and 12-over in the second round to round out the UNM lineup. Ava Cepeda, who was T-6th after an even par first round, had to be scratched from the lineup on Wednesday due to illness.
The championship concludes Thursday at Mission Hills Country Club.
