ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobos take a pause in conference play to host New Mexico State Tuesday at 5 p.m.

UNM enters the game 21-23 on the season, coming off of a series win against Fresno State, with the Aggies 23-21 and coming off a series win at Middle Tennessee State.
The Lobos hit .360 in the series against Fresno State, led by Melanie Macias’ five hits, .556 batting average and 1.222 slugging percentage, which included two home runs and a 3-3 outing at the plate in game three. Hayden Luderer and Miracle McKenzie led the team with five RBI with McKenzie going 3-3 with two doubles and a home run in game three against the Bulldogs and Luderer hitting the game-winning home run in game two.
UNM matched its season-high in runs scored in an inning with nine runs in the second inning of game three. The Lobos also hit three home runs against the Bulldogs, the seventh time this season doing so, and are 11-0 when hitting two or more home runs in a game.
On the season, UNM is outscoring opponents 214-210, outscoring opponents 31-22 in the second inning, 33-23 in the third inning, 27-18 in the seventh inning and 17-4 in extra innings.
For NMSU, the Aggies are hitting .316, led by Faith Aragon with 54 hits, 11 doubles and a .386 batting average. Of the 378 hits, the Aggies have fit 68 doubles, six triples and 66 home runs.
In the circle, the Aggies carry at 4.91 ERA with Aragon leading the staff with a 2.34 ERA, 30 appearances, 18 starts, 15 complete games, 152.2 innings pitched and 197 strikeouts to 49 walks.
Following Tuesday's game, the Lobos travel to San Jose for a three-game series against San José State starting Friday.
