CLEVELAND, Ohio --- The New Mexico Lobos are once again the highest G6 conference institution in the latest Learfield Directors' Cup standings, released after the first batch of winter championships. There will be another update in late April.

The Lobos were the top G6 school last year at the end of the season, and the first G6 school to finish in the Top-50 since Louisville did it in 2013. The Lobos in the first Winter standings are 47th.

New Mexico picked up 66.75 points for the 10th-place finish for the women's track & field team for the indoor championships, and the men's team earned 53 points for a 19th-place finish.

The closest G6 school to UNM is Washington State, which is 70th in the latest standings. UNM has 314.75 points overall, to Washington State's 215.5. Air Force, in 71st place with 215 points, is the second-highest-placing Mountain West school.
