ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- After a tough conference road swing against a pair of nationally-ranked opponents, the Lobos return home for a pair of conference matches to start the back half of the league schedule, hosting Colorado State on Thursday at noon and Wyoming on Saturday at 11 am.
The match on Saturday is a part of a doubleheader with the men's team, which hosts New Mexico State at 3 p.m. All matches are at McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium, and both matches are moved up a day to Thursday and Saturday due to Easter Sunday.
The Lobos lost 4-0 to No. 42 San Diego State and 4-1 to No. 63 Grand Canyon, taking the doubles point against the 'Lopes. UNM had leads in other matches, so the scores weren't a true picture of the matches, but the Lobos (11-8, 2-4 MW) are tied for seventh place, and one of the teams they are tied with is Colorado State.
The Rams are 6-11 overall and 2-4 in the league, and Wyoming is just a game ahead at 11-7 and 3-3 as teams are still jockeying for a coveted bye into the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Tournament later this month, with just two weekends of tennis left before the tournament held April 22-25 in Las Vegas.
