FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. --- Esme Abbadi-Macintosh finished 43rd, and Alice English was 45th as the Lobo pair competed in the 1-meter dive at the NCAA Zone E Championships in Flagstaff, Arizona. The championships continue tomorrow with English taking part in the 3-meter dive.

The Lobo pair missed advancing to the finals, needing to finish in the top 18. Abbadi-Macintosh turned in her best dive on her third, a 45.50 on a forward 2 1/2 somersault pike.

For English, she competed despite a practice injury in Sunday warm-ups and turned in a solid effort with two 40-point dives to her credit. Her best dive was her opener, an inward 1 1/2 somersault pike, a 43.20 mark.

The Lobo pair were two of 15 Mountain West divers competing in the 1-meter, out of 52 total.

Tuesday's 3-meter begins at 12:30 p.m. Mountain Time, and the finals for the top-18 are slated to begin at 3:55 pm MT.
