PHOENIX, Ariz. --- The Lobos grabbed the doubles point, but couldn't get any in singles as the No. 63 Grand Canyon 'Lopes used four straight-set wins in singles to pace themselves for a 4-1 win. Both teams are now 11-8 on the season, with GCU 4-2 in the Mountain West, and UNM 2-4.

The Lobos host Colorado State on Thursday at noon before taking on Wyoming at 11 am on Saturday, with both matches scheduled for McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.

UNM moved doubles around, but no matter where Vianca and Vivica Corley are playing, they win. The pair took a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles for the first half of the doubles point, and Lea Malazdra and Ana Veroux returned to the doubles lineup, winning 6-3 at No. 3 doubles, giving UNM a 1-0 lead.

Singles was a different story, however, as the Lobos fell behind in the opening set in all six flights, and finished out the four they needed from there.

The match marked UNM's second straight against a nationally-ranked foe.
