ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- After splitting with UNLV and Nevada last weekend, a weekend that featured a wild comeback against Nevada, the Lobos head to California to take on Fresno State on Friday and San Jose State on Sunday.

Both matches will start at noon Pacific, 1 p.m. Mountain Time.

The Lobos last weekend were down 3-0 to Nevada, staring an 0-2 conference start before a wild comeback that saw Ana Veroux making it 3-3 after being down 4-0 in the third set off-serve, and then Marika Matsoukatidi clinched the match in a tiebreaker 12-10 after fighting off four set points.

The Lobos are part of a five-team group at 1-1, and both the Bulldogs and the Spartans are in a four-team group that is tied for ninth in the league at 0-2, but both faced ranked opponents in San Diego State and Grand Canyon to open the season.

Fresno State is 7-7 overall and on a three-match losing streak, but the Bulldogs have solid wins over Pacific and Santa Clara on the ledger. San Jose State is 7-5 after a midweek win over Rhode Island. The Spartans also have solid wins over Pacific and Santa Clara.
