AIEA, Hawaii – The New Mexico women’s golf team completed play Wednesday at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational with the final round at the Pearl of Kalauao. The Lobos shot 20-over during the final 18 holes to finish the tournament in 10th place at 47-over.

Second-ranked USC won the event at 28-under, while No. 23 Arizona State and No. 13 North Carolina tied for second, each finishing at 5-under.

Hawaii native Ava Cepeda, playing on her home island of Oahu, was the Lobos’ top finisher at the tournament. She shot 3-over on Wednesday to finish T-27th at 8-over for the tournament. Rebecca Galasso shot 5-over on Wednesday, while Ciara Rushmer and Chelsea Truong each shot a 6-over final round. Maria Caparros Levin rounded out the lineup by shooting 7-over, while Juliette Hole shot 1-over while playing as an individual.

The Lobos return to action March 23-25 with the PING/ASU Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
